About Me   About Me
I was born and brought up in a remote part of Kenya in Nyandarua district which happens to be part of Central Province (one of the eight provinces in Kenya).

I attended my primary school, secondary and post secondary school in Kenya ( a hint that I haven't travelled out of this country).I attended Kenya Polytechnic where I pursued a Diploma Course in Information Science.

I have always felt challenged to give and as a young person, since we may not have monetary terms to give, I decided to volunteer my talents, services and efforts to serve in various organizations and levels. It was never easy, because at times, some people could not recognise the sacrifices I made in my bid to volunteer but I persistly did it.

I am currently the Research and Publications Officer with British Institute in Eastern Africa after working as a consultant at Voluntary Services Oversease (VSO) and Intermediate Technology Development Group- Eastern Africa. Prior to this, I was a volunteer at Nairobi International School of Theology. Before then, I was a volunteer with Medical Assistance Programme International Eastern and Southern Africa where I went after working at the British Council, Nairobi as an Information Services Officer. I joined British Council after working as a volunteer with Africa Medical Research Foundation.

I know as young people we have alot we can offer to the society and we must be determined to fight all odds. We need to free ourselves from the tyranical chains that may bind us- these could come from society which may feel that young people have nothing to offer, or they are just too young. Freedom is never given, it's won. We have to fight- not with weapons- but with our God given gifts, abilities and talents.

Finally, a challenge to you as a young people: IF YOU THINK AS YOU DO, YOU WILL ALWAYS BE WHO YOU ARE NOW, THE QUESTION IS, IS THAT GOOD ENOUGH??
