 About Me |
My name is Lindela Mjenxane, I’m a social entrepreneur and I’m a champion of change in the Community of Cape Town in South Africa. I realised that the significance of my gift matter so much that if I do not serve it to the world, I would rob the world of my unique contribution and it was then that I conceived Beyond Expectation Environmental Project (BEEP) in 2005, where I currently serve as a Managing Director. The organization has since won more than 11 provincial and national awards.
It is essential to note that I never desired to be great or pursued greatness as a goal but rather I preoccupied with pursuit of my unique gift in service to mankind. I discovered that I was born to lead and that trapped within me was a hidden leader. I live to teach, to share ideas that make young people discover who they are, what their value is, what their worth is, what they can achieve and what they can become. I knew that my gift was necessary for humanity, I realised that I exist not for myself but for the benefit of others because I also knew that I had a capacity to influence others through inspiration generated by a passion, motivated by a vision, birthed by a conviction and produced by sense of purpose.
My goal through the organization that I serve is to inspire the youth to look beyond their plight and challenges that they might be confronted with, by learning tolerance, and to keep their dreams alive by knowing that tomorrow is full of hope for better things to come, but education remains the key towards the fulfilment of their goals, dreams and ambitions.
I stand for enabling the youth to dream, to hope, to be courageous, to respect nature and to respect themselves. My destiny by desire, is a desire to leave a legacy of contribution by encouraging the youth to live according to their values in life.
I believe that the betterment lies within the young people, standing up and making a difference - not only for ourselves but also for the future generations is the key to success, a hope to bring hope and to eradicate poverty. I’m the champion of change and the driver of change as I’m dedicated, determine, committed and motivated to effect the change in my Community. I serve as an Alumni Director for Lucca Leadership Foundation as well, I’m also a Founder and the Executive Director of Khanyisa Foundation and I’m also a Youth Ambassador for Inyathelo under the Youth In Philanthropy Programme South Africa.
