Over Mij

My name is Liping Mian. I am from the Northwest part of China, Ningxia Hui Ethnic Group Autonomous Region. Came to Beijing in 2002 for my university study. Currently I am still an Anthropology master student of the Minzu University of China, which includes students from 56 different nationalities in China.

I came to AIDS field in 2004, when I established a student group on my campus and delivered knowledge and information about HIV and AIDS, as well as other health issues to minority students. Later, I got chances to work with Chinese AIDS NGO, development NGO, youth networks, international organizations in China as staff, volunteer, researcher and consultant.

At the beginning of 2008, I joint Youth Coalition for Sexual and Reproductive Rights as member from China, and became one of the board of directors during the annual meeting in August 2008. In addition, I also involve in five taskforces at the same time.

Now I am working with the World AIDS Campaign as Youth Campaign Coordinator started March 1st 2009, and conduct youth constituency programme in partnership with different youth networks and organizations at international, regional and national level.
