Estudié Ciencias Politicas en la Universidad Autónoma de Puebla. Inicié mi involucramiento en el activismo con organizaciones con trabajo en diversidad sexual y salud reproductiva y prevencion del VIH/SIDA: Juventud Alpha (Grupo de jovenes LGBT) y la Fundación Mexicana para la Planeación Familiar MEXFAM - Gente Joven, además de una red de organizaciones civiles con trabajo en sexualidad, DEMYSEX y otra de VIH, la Fuerza de Tarea en Prevención de VIH/SIDA en Hombres gay y otros Hombres que tienen Sexo con Hombres. Recientemente estoy trabajando cuestiones relacionadas con las Metas de Desarrollo del Milenio de las Naciones Unidas. Participe como delegado en la Asamblea General de la ONU en el 2006; tambien he estado en consultas internacionales de ONUSIDA, UNICEF, UNFPA y la OMS. Actualmente represento a America Latina en la Delegacion de ONGs del Fondo Global para la lucha contra la Tuberculosis, el SIDA y la malaria. Estare ocupando esa posicion hasta finales del 2009. Fui el Punto Regional Focal para Latinoamerica de la Coalicion Mundial de Jovenes contra el SIDA (GYCA) hasta el 2007. Tambien soy el co-coordinador de la Fuerza de Trabajo en VIH/SIDA de la Youth Coalition on Sexual and Reproductive Rights. Fui el coordinador del Programa de Jovenes de la Conferencia Internacional de SIDA que hubo en la ciudad de Mexico en el 2008: www.youthaids2008.org/es . Actualmente soy miembro del Board de TakingITGlobal y de aids2031, una iniciativa global sobre el futuro de la epidemia del VIH. I'm Political Science graduate from the Autonomical University in Puebla. I started my involvement with activism participating with civil society organizations working on sexual diversity, reproductive health and HIV/AIDS prevention: Alpha Youth and the Mexican Foundation for the Planned Parenthood MEXFAM - Young People, also in two national networks, the national DEMYSEX Network for NGO's working in sexuality issues and the Task Force for HIV/AIDS prevention among gay men and Men who have sex with Men (MSMs). I had the chance to be on the official delegation of Mexico at the UN General Assambly in 2006; I've also participated on international consultations with UNAIDS, UNICEF, UNFPA and WHO. I'm currently representing Latinamerica on the NGOs delegation for the Global Fund to fight TB, AIDS and Malaria. I'll hold the position until the end of 2009. I was the Regional Focal Point for LatinAmerica of the Global Youth Coalition on AIDS until the end of 2007; I'm also the HIV/AIDS Task force co-chair of the Youth Coalition on Sexual and Reproductive Rights. I was the coordinator of the Youth Program of the International AIDS Conference that took place in Mexico City in August 2008: www.youthaids2008.org I'm also member of the Board of TakingItGlobal and the Steering Committee of aids2031, a global initiative about the future of the HIV pandemic.
