I'm a writer, jazz musician (flute, piano, voice) and activist. I live in Minneapolis with my wife Cecilia, who's from Stockholm, Sweden, and work as associate editor at the family business, a magazine called Utne. I write occasionally for the Utne Web Watch, help run our own web community, Cafe Utne, and develop and manage web communities for various clients in the non-profit, education, arts and media sectors.
