 About Me |
I am an African and i am engaged in youth capacity building and capacity development activities at the moment.I have a great passion for the youth.
I have a passion to uphold respect and dignity for the youth because they are dynamic when given a good lead. Most of the time I am aware of my purpose and obligation to helping build a world in which peace, justice, human development and respect for nature. In 2005 I set up the development alliance Red Ribbon for the youth in Western Economic region of Kenya. Since then, I have dedicated my energy and knowledge in an effort to bring positive and sustainable development where it is needed most, especially to the local areas and communities. With the support of other determined young people and a large network of collaborators, partners, volunteers and academia, through several initiatives, we continue to establish conditions under which the welfare of the underprivileged can be enhanced, while taking an active role in key entrepreneurial concerns and capacity development. HIV/AIDS, poverty and Unemployment are the major challenges we are working to address. I want to see ‘ Youth building more secure, sustainable and positive futures.’
I have a diverse wealth of knowledge and experience that I have gained through numerous local, regional and global development initiatives; as part of the Secretariat to the Kenya Civil society Organization Forum-North Rift; as an SNV (Netherlands Development Organization) Action Partner-North Rift, Kenya; as a Resource Mobilization trainer for the Integrated Rural Development Program- Christian Community Services in Kenya, and representative to the very successful inaugural Kenya Youth and ICT Convention 2005 and KYICTC 06; as a Young Researcher to the Partners in Prevention (PIPS) and Academic Model for the Prevention and Treatment of HIV/AIDS (AMPATH-IU/Kenya), Peace keeper with the Peacenet-Kenya, as the secretary General for Youth Agenda Consortium ,devout in the service of human development..
