About Me

Luckson Katsi aged 29. Holds a Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Environmental Sciences, Post Graduate Diploma in Water Supply and Sanitation, Master of Science Degree in Water Resources Mgnt, University of Zimbabwe. he also holds a Certificate in Ecological Sanitation from UNESCO-IHE, the Netherlands. He has held several positions in Zimbabwe and has also worked in South Africa with the Association for Water and Rural Development. In Zimbabwe he did some work with the Institute of Water and sanitation Development, Mvuramanzi Trust. He has also lectured at Chinhoyi University of Technology. Katsi has also done some consultancy work for the United Nations. Currently, he is the Water and Sanitation Specialist with CARE International based in Zimbabwe

I am the Country Youth Director, Representing The Young Water Action Team (YWAT),based in the Netherlands.

Have attended the 4th WATERNET/WARFSA Annual Symposium and made a paper presentation (14-18 October 2003).

Has also attended the Gender Ambassadors' Training Workshop,Pretoria,South Africa(14-18 December,2003).

Has also participated in the drafting of the youth's paper at the 12th Session of the Commission on Sustainable Development and attended the 12th CSD in New York from 14 April-30 April 2004

Has been the Environmental Society President (Midlands State University)

Water Resources, Sanitation and Hygiene Fair (WARSH Fair) Youth Coordinator.

Also attended the Gendre mainstreaming Training Workshop, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

Currently documenting a case study on gender mainstreaming best practices in water supply and sanitation, commissioned by the Office of the Special adviser on Gender Issues and the advancement of Women, United Nations, New York
