About Me |
Kristle launched her first social venture at the age of 19 and hasn't stopped since. Before joining the Sprout team as Program Manager, Kristle became involved with the Sprout E-course as an e-Mentor to 3 participants and Coach to the Core Team. She is deeply committed to supporting a new generation of social innovators as they translate their talent, energy and ingenuity into real and lasting impact.
Today, she inspires, informs and empowers others to build a better world through Inspired Practice.
Established in 2007, Inspired Practice is Kristle's second social venture - a social-purpose enterprise that creates strategies and tools for conscientious businesses and enterprising non-profits to grow sustainably. Inspired Practice combines the compassion at the heart of the citizen sector with the ambition at the core of traditional entrepreneurship to evolve workplaces and communities toward a values-based standard.
Kristle has been a member of the TakingITGlobal online community since 2004 and feels especially privileged to be involved in leading social innovation programming for TIG. When Kristle is at play, you can find her undertaking home-improvement projects with her hubby, indulging in exceptionally tasty food, and blogging about inspired living.
ABOUT Inspired Practice
In April 2007, Kristle launched Inspired Practice – a social-purpose enterprise dedicated to inspiring, informing and empowering our clients to build a better world.
The Inspired Practice manifesto...
*Think and speak courageously.
*Be fueled by the creative exchange of ideas.
*Work in favour of focused perseverance not dogmatism.
*Put passion into action.
*Practice mutual respect and responsibility.
*Hold ourselves in work and life to the highest standard of integrity.
*Enjoy every minute of every day! What have I done? I have:
*Conveyed the principles of green procurement to clients with the use of a fair trade chocolate vegan cake as a prop.
*Led a mini-revolution by founding Canada’s first student-funded and operated grant making body for environmental and social impact initiatives.
*Helped a stalwart group of children’s environmental health advocates take their initiative from small impact to big impact by providing them with a framework and incubation.
*Developed a tailored sponsorship campaign for an international youth engagement organization seeking to diversify their revenue streams to achieve financial sustainability.
*Collaborated on projects with other consultants including one in which I helped pen a Green Your Business Toolkit for small and medium-sized businesses in the Canadian tourism sector.
*Turned accountants into modern-day superheroes with my signature Change the World at Work session.
*Researched and authored a plain-language Guide to Organizational Culture for newcomers as part of the highly-acclaimed Workplace Integration of Newcomers project.
*Used cutting-edge and sometimes unorthodox facilitation methods to assist teams and organizations move past road blocks to success.
*Even transformed my own wedding celebration into a lasting legacy (a.k.a. Project Tanzania) by building community and healthy futures for 500 children under the age of 5 in Tanzania, East Africa.
