About me
I was born in Belo Horizonte. When I was 3 we moved to Campo Belo, a small city at the south of my state. My parents wanted me and my sister to have a healthy childhood. My dad died when I was 6. In 1995 my mother bought my first computer and I began studying it. I became interested in programming and Windows was no more satisfying me as a learning platform.
I then discovered GNU/Linux and Free Software. After some months the Debian Project came to my knowledge and I then discovered that Free Software would be my way of helping on the creation of a better world. Since then I became a Debian Developer, a member of the Gnome Foundation and founded, together with friends, a project called Debian-BR, to get the benefits of Debian to people in Brasil.
I discovered TakingITGlobal when I was contacted by Everton, a guy that works with the World Social Forum contacted me about the World Summit on the Information Society. Then I was inspired by Nick, Terri and all friends that were called to take part on that event together with me. Now I know I have one more thing (TIG) to help me helping on the creation of the new and better world for all.
