About me
Currently, I am a full-time student and a part-time young professional. I am in the international development and globalization program at the University of Ottawa and minoring in Health sciences, as I thought it would compliment my program and interest of sciences well. I moved to Ottawa two years ago from Vancouver so that I could be a part of the House of Commons page program: a wonderful program that integrates and exposes youth to the inner workings of Canadian federal politics. This experience allowed me to be in touch with my current employer, one of the federal members of parliament, which has for a second time exposed me to another enriching perspective to the workings of Canada's government. I have always had an innate desire to make a positive influence within every environments and networks of people I'm with, no matter the scale of this impact. I have contracted the travel bug when I was 14, and have been on the go ever since within Canadian borders and beyond. I am looking forward to being able to raise enough funds so that I can take part in a project partnered with ENACTUS in Ghana. The goal of this project is to support youth to conduct market research, develop business plans and learn how to finance their businesses. Personally, I am taking on this challenge so that I can see and be a part of the development approaches that I have studied in a classroom setting in the last two years so that I may a play a more meaningful and contributing role at my university, workplace and society upon my arrival.
