Akinola Akinwumi Olusegun is the Director, Personnel and strategies, with Erudite Concerns - a consulting firm with core prime in human resource development, project planning, concept build-up, and strategy formation. This young savvy Nigerian youth, is also the Director, Media and Public Relations of The Intellectual Group – a youth-led NGO that empowers youths for positive development in the areas of: Sexual and Reproductive Health, Information and Communications Technology, research development and documentation, Leadership and Mentoring and streamlining of decision making processes of youths. With a vast experience in the consulting arena, he has consulted for the likes of Satisfiers group- a chain of hit eatery outlets in the city of Ogbomoso, Oyo State, Nigeria. Having served at the age of 18, as a two-time Editor-in-Chief for MEDIK – the first magazine publication of the Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, he sure has a stint of journalism and media packaging. While in the Secondary School, Akinwumi Excelled brilliantly, affording him many awards such as: Omega Bank Award of Excellence for best graduating student in the school, School Award for the 2nd Best student in the 2003 WAEC/NECO Exams among many others. He also represented the School at various State and National Exams during his stay there. As a physiologist in his 3rd year in school, he has initiated and facilitated many change projects: in his department such as Save My Class The Standing (SAMCLATS) project: in his faculty such as MEDIK publications, the use of audio-visual aids in the lecture of human anatomy course among others. With the mission of becoming a world-class consultant in community medicine and medical informatics, his decision to reach for the top is unflinching as yet, he hopes to graduate with a first class in Physiology. Bringing his experience as a young volunteer to bear, this Member of Global Youth Coalition on AIDS (GYCA) has participated and facilitated many train, advocacy and networking sessions with youths on core bothering youth issues. He recently facilitated a networking and interactive session with the Senior Secondary cadre of secondary school students on the world AIDS day celebration. Some of the schools where he has spoken include: Ado Community High School, Ado Ekiti, and Holy Child Catholic Secondary School Ado Ekiti, to mention a few. Akinwumi is the last born, the only boy in a family of 3 children from Gbonyin Local Government of Ekiti State.
