I am originally from New Zealand but I have lived in India, Africa and Brazil over the last 10 years.
I started a volunteering organisation called Kids Worldwide in July 2003 which would support childrens focussed projects in developing countries by assisting them with webpage design and helping to link them up with international volunteers. We DON'T charge any money for this, and the volunteers only pay the project where they are staying for their food and accomodation. You can check this website out at www.kidsworldwide.org
Currently I teach in a small town called Motueka in the South Island of New Zealand. Teaching children aged 11-13 years old. I am also busy establishing a childrens home project in the Philippines where we wish to unite and help the current childrens homes there, as well as providing technical and music training to the children in the orphanages. I travel over to Davao every 6 months to check on progress and to assist in the training of teachers.
If you would like to link up in any way, with regard to either advice as far as international volunteering, or because you might like to assist in becoming a volunteer coordinator for a childrens project in your country, I would be happy for others to get in touch with me.
