About me
My name is Frank Kamanga, I am the National Focal Point of Global Youth Coalition on HIV/AIDS , I am a young leader and HIV/AIDS activist. I am holder of bachelors degree in social science (economics), diploma in human resource development, certificate in project management. I am aspiring to be a professor one day. In five years time I would like to have a masters degree in health economics and a masters degree in Finance and Banking
I have worked for Malawi Health Equity Network as an assistant project officer for good governance. My main duties involved conducting budget analysis for the national health sector, writing proposals conducting researches on HIV/AIDs issues, implementing different activities such as updating the database and attending different national meetings and conferences on youth and HIV/AIDS
I am also a co-founder of Youth Initiative for Development, an NGO which works in areas of youth empowerment such as job creation and environmental management and HIV/AIDS prevention. I am also the programs officer for global hope Mobilization and NGO dealing with issues of public health and environment and climate change. I am one the co authors of International Treatment preparedness Coalition report Missing The Target 8. I was also one the researchers on access to ART treatment in Malawi in 2009 organized by ITPC. I have also participated in various trainings such as project management, HIV/AIDs trainings and management, Health governance trainings and advocacy trainings.
Currently GYCA Malawi together with Global Hope Mobilization, development partners and government officials are developing a male circumcision communication plan to advocate for rollout of male circumcision in Malawi
