On leaving the Army Grant took up a position as Business Manager with the Menzies School of Health. In July 2002 he was appointed as Business Manager of Kormilda College where he has responsibility for the provision of corporate services to the College including finance and accounts, property services, communications and information services, and promotions and marketing. Grant is a graduate of the University of New South Wales being awarded a Bachelor of Arts in Military Studies in 1979, and he completed a Master of Business Administration from the University of South Queensland in 2001. He is also a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a member of the Australian Institute of Management. As an extension of his College role Grant is Treasurer of the Association of Independent Schools Northern Territory, and represents the Territory on the Association of School Business Administrators SA/NT Branch. He also holds a number of not-for-profit Board positions including: President on the Governing Board of Carpentaria Disability Services; President of the Down Syndrome Association of the Northern Territory, Committee Member for the University Pirates Rugby Union Football Club; and Committee Member on the Northern Territory Rugby Referees Association. Grant Lindsay and his wife Tammy have a son and a daughter. His leisure interests include walking, sailing, military history, military wargaming and following most sports – in particular Rugby Union where he is both a coach (U17 team) and referee.
