About Me

My namme is Mathew Arita,am 25 years old and i hail from Kenya.Am an active youth leader in my community(Chepkoilel location)of Eldoret East district. My youth organization (Cycoe youth group)wich was founded in the year 2007 with the objective of creating awareness on Hiv/Aids, has managed to mobilize the youth through formation of networks among existing youth organisation in our province.From this networks, we have managed to establish viable socio-economic projects since 2007 with strong emphasis on issues pertaining to Hiv/Aids.Currently,we are implementing a nationwide program among other organisations under the ministry of health dubbed 'Total war against Aids" in the country.We are sensitizing the community around us on the importance of knowing our Hiv status through embracing testing and counselling services available at our disposal.I have all the reasons to believe that the youth can change the world through meaningful engagements in the fight against Hiv/Aids if they are adequately empowered and networked for them to have inclusive participation and exchange ideas.
