Born into a Christian home, I grew up attending the Church as one of the punctual and active members of the Children Ministry. Although I was always in church participating in the activities of the Ministry, I was not a born again Christian.
It was in the year 1989 when I was pursuing my high school certificate that I had an encounter with God during a Scripture Union (SU) meeting. It was at that meeting that I understood what it means to be born again and I boldly responded to the altar call that was made by the preacher man.
After that encounter, I became very active in the union and participated in every of the meetings. Due to my dedication to God and the union, I was appointed the evangelism and prayer secretary of the union for two terms. This position in the union really developed me as a young man desperate to serve God with sincerity.
After my high school education in the year 1994, I was posted to the Brong Ahafo Region to do my national service with a junior high school. Over there, I was involved in the school's worship meetings and one-on-one counseling with the pupils as the chaplain. This gave me the opportunity to build the children in a godly way. In view of my relationship with the children as a spiritual father, the children's academic, moral and spiritual lives were transformed. I used my national service stay in that region to affect some members of the community by periodically embarking on evangelism. I was able mobilize a group of young people in that community which I groomed to become ambassadors of change.
My service period in that community enlightened my vision for children and youth. I got so much interested in children and youth ministry which saw me participating in every church activity that is related to the youth and children.
