About Me

Akanni Olukayode was born on 18th October, 1977 in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria.

He completed his primary and secondary school in Ibadan in 1988 and 1994 respectively. He started his leadership role in Public Relations Affairs in 1992 at the age of 14 years with his college fellowship & Juniour Engineers and Technicians Students Club (JETS)

Mr. Olukayode did study Mechanical Engineering in both the Polytechnic Ibadan 1995-1997 and in the premier University of Nigeria- University of Ibadan in 1995-2001 to obtain ordinary National Diploma and Bachelor of Science respectively.. During his campus days, he extended his circle of influence to Journalism, IT literacy education, Music and Media resources while he struggled to create free time for sports and socials.
Being a resourceful and brilliant student, he was a research assistant in a multidisciplinary Research Group (Organo- mineral Fertilizer Research Group- National Award winners in 1997 and in 1999 and International Award in 2002) working on a plant that converts waste to fertilizer

During his final year project he developed and packaged a model for adoption to enhance the whole process of Organic fertilizer plant at small, medium and large-scale levels. This model has become a blue print for developing composting plants at various communities as request come from different State Governments to adapt the technology.His activities on ICT4D birth several projects. He has developed an Enviromental Informatiopn System which is being process in collaboration with Water Menagement Research Group in Ghana and Organo- mineral Fertilizer Research Group

He did his National Youth Service Corps in Lagos State. During this period of time, he also served as Publicity & Library Secretary of National Youth Service Corp (NYSC)Rural Targeted Community Development Group, Lagos State chapter. he is engaged with Youthful Initiatives on Economical, Environmental, Education & Large scale Development –YILED a non profit making NGO harnessing the potentials of ICT to empower people eradicate poverty and improve lives as a Publicity Secretary II. He is a visionary leader, creative designer and a software developer. He believes in contributing to the development of strategies for performance in every organization he finds himself.
