Over Mij

Vancouver Island born and raised, I did my undergrad in civil and environmental engineering in Montreal and my masters in water policy and management in Oxford, England. I am currently living the Netherlands with my boyfriend, playing music, helping to organize a session of the World Water Forum in Istanbul, and doing what I can to tackle climate change after coming home from the UN climate conference in Poznan.

One of my passions is sustainable and equitable use of resources, primarily fresh water. Climate change is being brought on by the excessive use of non-renewable resources, at the cost of many other resources that people and the rest of nature require for life, including the most basic - water, soil, and air.

I am becoming increasingly passionate about simple living, and savouring and making time for what I find truly fulfilling: music, art, literature, good food, good fitness and health, great relationships, and challenging and rewarding work.

Finally, what is perhaps my greatest passion - music. I write and play music for piano and voice, and deeply enjoy live performances. I am thrilled by the power of music to reach people's minds and hearts, and hope to communicate joy and inspiration through the music that I create in my life.
