Semiotics / World Bank Faisalabad, Pakistan City Coordinator 2008 - 2009 Name of assignment or project: Poverty & Social Impact Analysis Study Client: World bank / The Urban Unit, Planning & Development ( P & D) & Semiotics Consultant Main Project features: The overall objective of the study was to determine the Poverty estimates & carry out social impact analysis of five large cities of Punjab ( Multan, Faisalabad, Lahore, Gujranwala, Rawalpindi) this will contribute towards development of policy framework so that the selected cities of Punjab become more livable & achieve higher economic growth & greater resource self-sufficient with enhanced welfare & well-being of the city dwellers. Activities performed: Assigned to research the house hold survey with the help of GPS devices for data collection from the teams, both females & males together in a team, visited targeted & selected areas, houses / household to conducted in detailed interviews from the head or bread winner of the household about their total monthly & yearly expenses, their income, total family members, the condition of road, street, water & sanitation, drinking water, their investment, bank balance etc, being a City coordinator within district Faisalabad, had to organized & managed the whole team, overall Administration, supervision field activities taking place in the target city, logistics & management supervision, managing human recourses, morning & evening meetings, supervision & quality assurance of field work, Financial management then report writing & filled forms sent to implementing agency for further making government policies, plans, and priorities for betterment for the particular areas.
