About Me

I am 25 years old, An accountant academically but always worked to bring forth change in this world of ours. I am passionate about international development and love travelling. I went to Ethiopia last year to work with some local projects and this has inspired me in trying to promote sustainable development . I have moved to Berlin to develop some youth projects which target disadvantaged and marginalised youth especially those from minority backgrounds. I have also had the opportunity to travel to Texas and Louisiana which was wonderful. Last year I went to Canada (Toronto) to the York Univeristy summer school on refugee issues. I currently run youth projects for young people from refugee and Asylum seeking backgounds in the UK trying to get their voices heard throught creative arts.

I am a memebr of UNA and UNA youth, I volunteer in switzerland for International conference volunteeers which manages most conferences held by the UN. I was able to work in Media support at the WSIS conference, a role which enabled me to build a set of new skills in media something that I value so much now.

I have worked as project co-ordinator for a youth mentoring project providing not only peer to peer support but also skill building workshops and forming of youth forum so that they can have a voice in influening services that affect them. eg Education, health and general social regeneration such as safety on the strets and drugs.

I am starting to gain an interest in Human rights due to the amount of work I do with BME groups especially those from refugee backgrounds. I hope to do my masters in development and human rights hopefully starting next september if I can tear myself away from gallavanting around the world. I have a feeling I will do it in London though.

At present I am working on a project to raise awareness and advocate for male youth with mental health issues. This project will aim to reduce stigmatisation of mental helath and try increase dialogue about issues of mental heath so that male youth can access services that could benefit them.
I am also interested in being involved in other project work in the UK ...preferably with a youth or human rights aspect.

Later this year I will go on a UN study tour to Brazil where I will have the opportunity to visit some grass root proejcts and learn more about community projects in Latin America.

Apart from all this work , I am an avid reader, I love movies, travelling and I am learning German. I have sort of given up on french but you never know I might slip back into the language. Its amazing how I managed to get an A* in French GCSE and can barely speak a word..any one out there like me.... I do love to dance though.. I can dance the night away so invite me to all your parties :)))) ciao
