Role: Head of Department, Climate Education
Why myclimate? "How can we enjoy the present and at the same time develop a sustainable lifestyle? How can we rediscover a sense of wonder in everyday life and appreciate the mysterious things all around us? What is it going to take for us to develop respect for nature, the coming generations and our immediate environment? I see it as an incredible challenge to pursue these questions and to develop projects that leave a lasting impression on hearts and minds and precipitate small and large changes in as many people as possible."
Qualifications: Studied Biology at the University of Zurich, major in botany and environmental sciences
Work experience: Tidal flat guide at the North Sea, environmental teacher at a London eco centre, secondary school teacher for seven years, self-employed owner of the company: "Oekolibria", author and illustrator of the school book "Faszination Natur" (Verlag ZKM)
Private: Mother of two daughters, voluntary involvement with a variety of environmental organisations
