I am John Piermont V. Montilla, Youth Executive of the youth-led non-governement organization, the Kabataang Gabay sa Positibong Pamumuhay (KGPP), Inc. "Peers for a Positive Way of Life".
Our organization is working with underserved and disenfranchised individuals and communities particulaly the at-risk and vulnerable children and youth in highly high-risk environments and special popualtions.
I am presently involved in managing and supervising HIV and AIDS work in the community, locally, regionally, nationally and internationally focusing on (1) prevention, (2)treatment, care and support, (3) advocacy policies relative to risks and vulnerabilities of children and youth, (4) social mobilization and partnership-building, and (5) youth led awareness campaign.
We are supported by UNICEF and Global Fund for our community-based programmes, UNODC - Global Youth Network, World Youth Peace Summit for our advocacy and network-building while we are recognized nationally by the Department of Social Welfare and Development, the National AIDS Council and the National Youth Commission for our youth-led initiatives.
