 About Me |
For the past 19 years I've worked with the Scouting Movement and youth to create self reliant and resilient citizens who are curious about the world.
In the past few years I worked with and in Alberta Provincial Parks as a Nature History Interpreter. My goal was to instill stewardship in visitors empowering them to become a part of the conservation efforts of their wild spaces.
Presently I am passionate about sustainability and conservation (wild spaces, commercial and residential building and personal habits).
I am working with three Scouting youth and CAWST to develop water conservation stewardship workshop that will be taken to the Kanderstag Jamboree in 2010 and disseminated to international Groups to take back and spread in their own Countries.
The City (World) Wide Scout Guide Food Drive is in its fifth year and aims to collect over 50,000 lbs of food. Created five years ago out of a desire to see youth working with other youth to help those in need I have learned a tremendous about organization and networking to achieve my goals.
