About Me

Hello friends, family, and other concerned individuals! For those of you who don't know me, my name is Jessica Bradford and I am a vivacious 21 year old from Halifax, Nova Scotia. I have recently joined the ranks of Acadia University alumni graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. I am extremely passionate about international development and human rights issues, so much so that for 3 months during the summer of 2008 I traveled to New Delhi, India on an internship with the Students for Development program to work for the nongovernmental organization the Commonwealth Human Rights Initiative.

During the summer of 2010 I will be embarking on an incredible 6-week adventure to the country of Tanzania on the east coast of Africa. While there, I will be volunteering with Youth Challenge International to tackle issues that plague the country's development and promote positive development initiatives, such as youth employment, HIV/AIDS awareness & sexual and reproductive health, gender equality, and active citizenship.
