I was born in New Orleans, grew up all over the Southeast US and am the oldest of 3 siblings. I am of Puerto Rican and Swedish decent and I speak of smattering of Romance languages, though I would love to learn Arabic one day. I have been working in human rights education for about 5 years and I am currently working on a master's in international affairs. My interests include political theory, new media, women and children's rights and cooperative models of development. I have an almost 7 year old daughter and I love being a mother. I also love to dance, travel, cook, get into new music and have long conversations with good friends.
