Employment Currently, Jason is the 1st Employee of the North American office of 1st online Men's Apparel Brand - Indochino.com. He currently holds the title of "Chief Tactician", (Affiliate & eMail Marketing Manager), for the 3 year old, Venture Capital backed Indochino Apparel Inc. In the past, Jason worked with a Victoria based, multi-award-winning software security and online marketing company Paretologic, Inc (“Paretologic”). As Paretologic’s first employee, he held a number of titles with the company such as Corporate / Business Development Manager, Manager of Research and Development and Vice President of Business Development & Public Relations. At Paretologic, Jason’s major responsibilities included day-to-day operations of the company’s business development and sales channels. Jason traveled extensively around the globe building up the traditional sales (OEM) channels for Paretologic. In addition, Jason was responsible for development, implementation, and execution of online marketing, affiliate markeing, & sales strategies, including designing, and having developed web applications and web portals to increase sales. Jason's efforts helped Paretologic grow its online revenue from an annual run-rate of three million dollars to over ten million dollars in less than six years. Jason is also well-versed in the development of user conversion, acquisition, and retention strategies. Prior to joining Paretologic, Jason was the Director of Small Business Development for an international software solutions provider, Mercurial Communications, Inc (“Mercurial”). At Mercurial, with no marketing budget, Jason was directly responsible for generating two million dollars in contracts in 12 months. As part of Management and Business Development at Mercurial, his efforts grew Mercurial's employee base from 15 to 100 in 12 months. Entrepreneurship /Social Enterprise Ventures Jason is the former co-founder and Vice President of an online lending company, Fortuno Lending Ltd. He also founded the Canadian Social Entrepreneurship Foundation (“CSEF”) five years ago, and currently sits on the Board of Directors. CSEF (www.csef.ca) launched North America's 1st Social Network for social entrepreneurs - www.zoombala.com [Beta]. Jason is also currently a business partner in the Vancouver based technology company iGEN Knowledge Solutions Inc, and consults to the well established e-marketing company BCAdvice.com. In 2004, at the 1st Skoll World Forum on Social Entrepreneurship at Oxford University, Jason was introduced to the founders of the award-winning PBS series Globaltribe. Shortly after this, the USA based non-profit organization, OneGlobaltribe, was founded. Jason developed and helped execute the business plan, sponsorship and marketing strategies for OneGlobaltribe. He wrote the social ventures first business plan which was submitted to Standford's Social Enterprise Business Plan Competition. Jason has been a business plan judge for the World Bank's Development Market Place, Stanford University Business Plan Competitions and the University of Victoria's Social Enterprise Business Plan Competition. He has fundraised for BC Cancer Foundation (Project: Journey Of Hope), YMCA Victoria BC and United Way of Victoria, BC, Canada. Jason has traveled the world and presented a number of talks and speeches in places such as, Victoria, CA, Vancouver CA, Ottawa CA,Waterloo CA, Montreal CA, Stanford USA, Oxford UK, Seattle, USA, Baltimore USA, Chicago USA, Florida USA, Las Vegas USA, London UK, Stockholm, Sweden.
