 About Me |
I am currently studying at the University of Bradford in the UK, in the department of peace studies. In June 2008 I will hopefully be graduating with a degree in politics and peace studies. My key areas of interest are in exploring the structural factors that are responsible for Ostracizing and marginalizing people in societies. Through this study I hope to compile to a greater understanding of how to improve participation, inclusion and empowerment. To this end i have taken modules within the degree that look at conflict resolution, political theory, participation studies, international development and the global south. Next year I will be compiling a dissertation investigating the processes of inclusion and exclusion that exist for refugees and asylum seekers in the West Yorkshire region of the United Kingdom. In the future I will almost certainly extend my education, however before then I will be looking for field work in the global south.
