About Me

Ira Lee grew up poor. Selling cats and bikes to eat. He lives with his dog Charger in a shotgun shack, just north of sixty. Inspired to cut through the senseless bureaucracy and spendthrift selfishness of the ‘ Aboriginal youth services industry’ in the prairies, in late 2005, (after 5 years as an Aboriginal youth services instructor with the YMCA Canada) Ira lee secured funding from the Canada Council for the Arts, the government of Canada and other arts funding bodies*, to transform his no holds barred, unapologetically prairie song writing and powerfully original live children’s performances into a groundbreaking collection of educational / interactive / leadership and community service learning performance workshops. Providing access to the tools, solutions, strategy’s, information, and insight required to combat the issues affecting rural and urban Aboriginal youth in Canada.

Facilitating workshops / performances in rural and urban communities / reserves and elementary schools such as Muskoday First Nations (PA), James Smith Reserve (PA), Angus Merasty school (PA), Amiskcwacyii Academy (AB), Elizabeth Fry Metis Settlement (AB), Ocean Man (SK), Regent Park school (SK), Coronation Park (SK), Centennial (SK) and Elsie Mironuck school (SK)
