About me
Imane Khachani, 28, is a Medical Doctor from Morocco and holds a joint Erasmus Mundus Masters degree in International Health from the Royal Tropical Institute(Amsterdam), Queen Margaret University (Edinburg) and Karolinska Institute (Stockholm).
She is an active member of the Youth Coalition for Sexual and Reproductive Rights (www.youthcoalition.org) and has participated to several United Nations meetings and other international events, advocating for young people's sexual and reproductive rights. She is also a member of the Social Drivers’ Advisory Panel for the AIDS 2031 initiative and a Youth Advisor at the Population Policy and Migrations Department of the League of Arab States.Imane is a former Oxfam IYP Action Partner (2004), UNFPA Global Youth Advisory Panel member and UNFPA Special Youth Fellow. At UNFPA in New York, she worked on youth friendly services' experiences in several countries and on young people and adolescent's sexual and reproductive health in the Arab region. She has collaborated with UNFPA Morocco Country Office in assessing youth friendly clinics in several cities and has founded its national Youth Advisory Panel, a structure created to ensure young people's participation in the design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the Fund's programmes.
