English (mother tongue) French (working on it) Spanish (beginner) Arabic (forget about it...but I'd like to learn) Hello all, I am currently an international development and globalization studies student at a Canadian university, and I am seeking like-minded individuals to share ideas and inspiration, whether it be about religion, politics, poverty, or what have you. In the past few years, I have: -Volunteered for the 2006 International AIDS Conference in Toronto -Volunteered for my school's International Health Program, educating the student population about diseases that affect both first and third world nations -Stood on the executive for my school's chapter of STAND (Students Taking Action Now: Darfur) Canada, taking on tasks from writing articles on the UN to planning major conferences ...among other experiences, which you may ask about if you so care. :) At this moment I am particularly interested in traveling abroad for development work, as well as to strengthen my language skills. Culture, philosophy, social trends, social studies, and its ties to mass media are also sources of interest. If you are involved in documentary-making or photograph(ic) journalism, or are involved in projects related to anything I have mentioned above, please contact me. I am keeping my eyes and ears open, and am willing to collaborate on most anything! All the best, Farrah
