Idee is an active member of the Saint John community and has served on a number of committees in the city. Among which include: 2003 - Member, Saint John Refugee Support Committee 2003 - Enterprise Saint John, Immigration Committee. 2000- 2001 – Greater Saint John Mayor’s Growth Task Force. 2000- 2001 – Pro Kids Committee 2001 – present – Vision of Youth Task force. Idee Rasheed Inyangudor has displayed youth leadership in Saint John beginning with his term in office as Vice President Activities at the University of New Brunswick Student Union. The first elected Black executive of UNBSJ student Union. Other endeavours taken on by Mr. Inyangudor include: representing New Brunswick youth at various preparatory conferences leading up o the World Conference Against Racism, Racial Discrimination, Xenophobia and Related Intolerance, Durban, South Africa, 2001. A rapporteur at the African – Canada NEPAD summit, he continues to work towards a greater appreciation and acknowledgement of Black culture and contribution to Canada.
