About Me

Hidayatullah kasi is 23 years old young activist who joined Cosmopolitan Community Development Organization (CCDO) in 2006. He is graduated in Computer Science from Pearl Institute of M & IT. Currently He is doing his MBA in Human Resource from Institute of Management Sciences, University of Balochistan.
His main area of interest is to mobilize the youth of Balochistan about education, health, development and youth empowerment. He had been the active member of Young Professional Network (YPN), a project launched by German Organization Friedrich Ebert Stiftung (FES) to strengthen the youth of Pakistan and make them the decision makers of tomorrow. He worked with YPN for two years. During this time he had been the part of several seminars and workshops in different institutes to make the youth aware about their strength. For the capacity building purposes he had been voluntarily involved to arrange training workshops in different educational institutions in Balochistan. He also received several trainings about personality development from FES.
He is also the member of Youth Assembly of Balochistan, a project launched by UNFPA for development of youth in this region.
He had been working on the issue of HIV/AIDS from the last 4-5 years. In 2006 he conducted a survey in Quetta city about the vulnerability of youth to HIV/AIDS. He then presented his survey report in 8th ICAAP, Colombo- Srilanka in August 2007. He had been the youngest presenter from Pakistan. His presentation was specially highlighted in the closing ceremony.
He is strong advocate of using Technology in HIV/AIDS awareness. In this regard he did a project with college and university students to create HIV/AIDS awareness through SMS. This effort proved to be very successful and the message could be disseminated among thousands of youth in the form of chain network.
