 About Me |
Korsang has been Cambodia’s only Harm Reduction program for 5 years and the staff are mainly comprised of current and former drug users. Korsang works tirelessly to ensure the reduction of HIV rates and drug related harm among drug users. Korsang is dedicated to delivering quality harm reduction education and health related services to injection drug users and yama users and maintains a commitment to treating each participant with the highest level of dignity, compassion and respect.
Services:
• Provides Drug users with a safe non-judgemental and caring environment. (Drop in Center)
• Provides Harm Reduction education and services to drug users where they are. (Outreach)
• Offers Harm Reduction Housing to 40-60 drug users every night
• Provides health education sessions for a healthier life style
• Provides Harm Reduction sessions to reduce the risks of HIV and drug use
• Provides medical care for participants with an onsite infirmary
• Advocates for proper, ethical medical care for drug users
• Advocates for Human rights for drug users in Cambodia
• Offers special services for women drug users and their children
• Substitution therapy services (Coming Summer 09)
