About me
Herman is a Canadian resident from Rwanda. He has done part of his studies in Rwanda, training as a Medical Doctor. He is interested in Global Health leading issues, humanitarian activities and biomedical research. He has been a committed volunteering peer educator in different international student-run projects for more than 8 years. During his engagement in the local communities of Rwanda, he got experienced in educating schooling and non schooling youth, people living with HIV/AIDS, prostitutes on HIV/AIDS Awareness and Prevention and in working in a multi cultural environment.
He has been successively elected General Secretary of Rwanda Village Concept Project (2006) and General Secretary of the Medical Students Association of Rwanda (2007). Herman has undertaken several trainings and workshops on Peer Education; Communication, Teaching Skills and Global Health.
He has been invited and attended as poster presenter the Global Health Council's 34th International Conference in Washington DC 2007 and attended as presenter the Geneva Health Forum (May 2008) in Geneva. He aspires and dreams to become a well-known medical practitioner with an excellent career in international health care.
He likes field work and team work and has good communication skills in english, french, swahili and kinyarwanda.
His hobbies include spending time with friends, music, movies, novel and medicine and of course working for a healthier world. He look forward visiting as many places as possible in this wonderful world.
