We are undertaking a research project -currently, from Guatemala- that aims to design and build an Open Source Online System to facilitate and foster Citizen Participation in municipalities, which could be used both in "developed" and "developing" countries. You can get some more details at the project's web-site. www.ckyosei.org -- PROFESIONAL EXPERIENCE: - Information Systems Engineer (Universidad Complutense), Bachelor of Business Administration (Universidad de Alcalá), First Diploma on Philosophy (Universidad Autónoma de Madrid) and Master on "Knowledge and Information Society" (Universitat Oberta de Catalunya). Currently, PhD Student on e-Participation (UOC). - I've been working for six years as a Technical Lead at Hewlett-Packard (Germany), developing its global e-Commerce (B2B) solutions. - I've also accrued extensive experience researching and participating at social movements and NGOs. 1 year research period in Fortaleza (Brazil), studying "Participatory Budgeting" experiences and several citizen participation initiatives. Several papers and lectures on e-Participation.
