 About Me |
I am a Graduate of Mass Communication (Specialised in Public Relations, Political science and Sociology) from Makerere University, Kampala, Uganda with a Masters Degree in Development and International Relations from the University of Aalborg in Denmark. I am currently working as a Program Associate for American Institutes for Research, which is a member of a consortium implementing the Sudan Basic Education Program (SBEP). During my work and study experiences, I have been involved in managing and providing customer services to an extensive customer base, undertaking research activities on human, children’s and women’s rights issues, I have taken part in program development and implementation, materials production for advocacy and lobbying especially on girls’ education at different community levels. I have also been engaged in designing tailor-made communication strategies for community awareness, policy influencing and general public understanding of key development issues especially in the area of girls’ education and mentoring a Youth group on advocacy and proposal writing. I have good financial management and reporting skills and experiences using excel spreadsheets and the quick books software. I have been involved in general administration and personnel management and providing technical and logistics support in various aspects of program development. In addition to my professional achievements, I have undertaken on job training courses on USAID Rules and Regulations, Good Practices for Girl’s Education, Total Quality Management, Customer Services, Gender and HIV/AIDS mainstreaming, Personal Safety and Security, computer training in Ms Word, Excel, Power Point, PageMaker, Quickbooks etc.
