Yuyun is 24 years old javanese. Born in little town in East Java. From high school he already active in student organization. During his college time Yuyun become leader of Islamic Association of University Student in Brawijaya University. From this organization he learn alot about youth development and also social and economic issues at national and global level.
In his professional life, Yuyun serve as outreach officer of Anti Debt Coalition Indonesia, national wide coaliton of organization and individual that have concern about debt problem. Anti Debt Coalition focus on campaigning for debt cancellation for Indonesian people and building resistance to Bretton Wood Institution such as World Bank, International Monetary Fund and Asian Development Bank. Anti Debt Coalition Indonesia believe that new international financial architecture is possible.
Yuyun also Action Partner of the Oxfam International Youth Partnership. Having attended the third Kaleidoscope OIYP in Sydney in September 2007. almost 300 young people from over 90 countries come together in this event. OIYP is an initiative of Oxfam International, manage by Oxfam Australia that support a global network of young leader working with their communities to create positive, equitable and sustainable change. Yuyun was selected as an Action Partner in 2007 through a rigorous and highly competitive prosess involving 3000 applicants aged between 18 and 25 from across the world. With his fellow from around the world he build Global Youth Network for Economic Justice and serve as regional Asia core team.
Beside that Yuyun also active in international network called Earth Charter Youth Initiative. The ECYI is a bold and dynamic youth network convinced that urgent action is required to bring about a just, sustainable, and peaceful world .The ECYI is active in over 50 countries and at the global level, with a diverse Membership, Youth Groups, and Partners who have endorsed the Earth Charter. In September 2007 along with his friends from India and China, Yuyun was elected to become regional Asia and Pacific Youth Leadership Team.
Yuyun is passionate about social movement, human right, environment, peace and sustainable development, alternative media and of couse everything about youth. He had build connection with alot of organization in national and international level such as Friend of the Earth Indonesia, Oxfam International Youth Partnership, Earth Charter Youth Initiative, Jubilee Scotland, Global Young Green, Global Youth Network for Economic Justice, Youth for Human Right International, Asian Institute for Human Right, Taking IT Global, etc. Currenly he is developing research on budget analysis and it’s implication in economic, social and cultural right (ESCR) especially the right to have education in Indonesia. This research will be presenting in Chiang Mai Thailand during training on budget analysis on ESCR in this April 2008 organize by Asian Institute for Human Right.[ ]
