We have been much involved for several years introducing our DIY Solar pv technique to developing countries.

We are now hoping that members of TIG will bring pressure on development organisations, and even governments, to look at what this and other self-assembly techniques can bring to poor people. So far all have refused to even consider such a thing!
Not only is it possible for the poor to have electricity and cooking using the sun, with social and environmental benefits at minimal cost, but self-assembly encourages innovation and enterprise in many forms, including youth employment.
The innovative approach may well be the most important gain of all!
