My name is Grafirah Jules, I’m 19 years old. My friends say I have a nice personality and I'm fun to be around. I like to learn new stuff but I don't really like school, yes I know it’s weird lol... When I was younger, I wanted to become a top model, then a lawyer, then a diplomat, right now I' m studying to be an accountant and I can' t even say why I've chosen this. Maybe it's because I like math. Anyways, during my free time I like to chill with my boyfriend, my family and party with my friends. I hate sports and exercise maybe that explains why sometimes I' m rude, but deep inside I'm a very nice girl, maybe a little too sensitive, but I know how to stay positive, help and share my good mood. My favorite colors are black and purple; I don’t really have a favorite movie because I watch a lot of them but if I had to pick one it would have been "American Pie 2". I like all kinds of music as long I can dance to it but my favorite artist is DIAM'S. I can't finish this topic without talking about my favorite movie star who is Brad Pitt, I think he is one of the best actors ever (good looking, nice hair, sexy body especially in Troy). My biggest dream is to help my country. I think they really need young and strong people to rebuild the country, that’s why I’m not giving up on my dream of becoming a diplomat. I still want to represent my country with pride and dignity. But until then, I think I’ m going to try to enjoy my life as much as possible and like one of my favorite quotes says: “today is a gift, that’s why they call it present.” Safe sex is great sex, sex among young Pregnancy is a wonderful gift, as good as sex but they can also be your worst nightmare. Get pregnant when you are not ready for it can almost ruin your life. Raising a kid required a lot of money and the baby deserve a good life because first he didn’t choose his situation and second his childhood can have an influence on his future. Statistic revealed that the pregnancy rate among the young Quebecois has doubled between 1974 and 2001. There are also a lot of sexually transmitted diseases (STD) or infections(STI) like Gonorrhoea, Chancroid, Genital herpes, Trichomoniasis, Aids, HPV and Syphillis, that you can catch by having a good time with your partner. You may think I don’t care because my partner doesn’t have any of these, but how can you be sure? Today, with good medicine and health care, the person who has a sexually transmitted disease can live normally, have a job, and anything else just like me and you. After a study made by the World Health Organization, they discover that each year a teenager of twenty contracted a (STI). The Center for disease control (CDC) reports that 19 million new STD infections occur every year and what is more alarming is that 50 percent of this people are young people between 15 and 24. So to stop this sexually transmitted disease, the best way is sexual education. I am concerned about this because I never had a sexual education and I think is one of a thing that was missing in my adolescence so because of that, I wanted to experience some things for myself but I wasn’t the only one. There were a lot of student like me, to not say all of them, and one of my friends got pregnant at 14 and she didn’t know what to do and she had to drop school because of that. According to the American Social Health association, more than half of teenagers in the USA haven’t had a sexual education. But it stays one of the best solution to prevent unwanted pregnancy and STD. There are a lot of way how you can prevent those and first thing to do when you think you are ready to have sex is make sure that you know your partner, ( he is faithful, honest and that he is the one). Another good ways to prevent STD or pregnancy is to use condoms and birth control pills, vaccinate, have one partner that you can trust but the best way is to abstain. So in order for me to help young people like me and explain to them how to prevent those things, I created a blog because most of them are always surfing on the internet and I thought it was a great way to reach them. In that blog, I posted some picture of what they will look like with one of these disease and I also talked about the importance of being ready to have sex and I posted some link where they can go check the statistics. There is a section where devoted to STD and pregnancy prevention and his importance.
