About Me

An idealist and citizen of the world, not bound by the frontiers created by wars, Gert has been privileged to complete his education and professional experience in Norway, the UK, the US, Guatemala, Colombia, South Africa, Argentina and Brazil. A vegetarian, youth and peace activist, and currently a Rotary World Peace Scholar, Gert strives for social justice, also emphasising the need to practise what we preach. Especially dedicated to a Culture of Peace, ethical, responsible and sustainable consumerism, children's rights, LGBT rights and demilitarisation, Gert works voluntarily for World Voices Norway, the Decade Office for the World Report on the Culture of Peace and UNESCO Brazil. He recently completed his MA in International Relations, Peace and Conflict Resolution at the Universidad del Salvador in Buenos Aires, and is now the Coordinator of the Norwegian Millennium Development Goals Campaign, based in Oslo.
