 About Me |
I am a Chinese woman living in Beijing, the capital of China.
I have a lot of interests.
• I like doing excursion. At weekend, sometimes I meet up with my friends and go to visit some places of interest inside or outside Beijing.
• I like talking with people although I rarely initiate a conversation. I like talking with people because I am interested in different ways of thinking. I am interested in their perspective about life, about culture, about society and about the world.
• I like reading Chinese and English books and magazines. I finished a short English novel this January. The name of this novel is The Five People You Meet in Heaven. I’m not going to tell you in detail what the novel is about. But what I can tell you is that this novel is thought-provoking and worth reading.
• I like cooking, I like shopping and I like playing Chinese traditional instrument—Guzheng. In a word, I have great passion for life.
• I am a challenge-seeking person. I challenged myself with bungee jumping in the year of 1999. I still remember it was on July 24. I went to Shidu and had the unforgettable jump in my life. You might wonder why I wanted to have bungee jumping. The reason was simple. I just wanted to look for something thrilling in my life and to leave something unforgettable in my memory. The first thought crossing my mind after I had bungee jumping was that I was so lucky that I was still alive. I must cherish my life and live a meaningful life.
• I am an interpersonal person. I enjoy working with people. When I was working as a teacher of Chinese, I had many opportunities to meet people from different countries and established friendship with them. Sometimes we had dinner together, sometimes we met up to discuss a specific subject and sometimes we went on excursion.
• I just became a full-member of International Toastmaster Club where I meet people, I talk to people, I practice public speaking skills and develop leadership skills.
