 About Me |
Cyril was the 2010-2011 Student Representative Council President of his university, and a Member of the University Council and a Senate Member of the Private University Students Association of Ghana (PUSAG). Beneath are some experiences and projects that continue to shape his multidimensional approach to issues and cross-cultural work relations, this includes but are not limited to the following: Global Youth Service Day 2008 Project Coordinator and the National Lead Agency (NLA) for Ghana, World Youth Congress in Quebec, Canada, Rapporteur for the UN-HABITAT 2008 World Urban Youth Forum in Nanjing, China and a delegate at the 2009 International Students Festival in Trondheim (ISFiT), Norway. Moreover, Cyril's international work includes pivotal contribution to the E-Consultation on Youth Participation in Poverty Reduction Strategies hosted by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in collaboration with the World Bank Institute and participation in the UNESCO Chair and Institute for Comparative Human Rights International Youth Summit in Rwanda. He successfully delivered a paper on the topic: Microfinance as a Strategy for Financial Inclusion in Ghana, during the 6th Annual Microfinance Conference, venue: Medical School Auditorium, University of Cape Coast, Ghana.
Cyril is a Development Practitioner with an audacious and selfless dedication to serve and lead local communities to work out their future in a manner that does not compromise the shared benefits for future generations. He accredits his drive to the early childhood opportunities in education that later impelled him to undertake numerous community-based projects that further magnified his participation in the West Africa Regional Workshop on Youth in Civic Engagement, and The Pan-African Youth Leadership programme. Cyril has an avid interest in the mechanisms for multilateral cooperation and tolerance and uses his appreciable wealth of knowledge, skills and experience on local and international issues to propel his interest in development. He continuous to anchor the idea that development in any human society is a many-sided process - which involves the individual having improved skills and capacity, greater freedom, creativity, self-discipline, responsibility and material well-being and the state guaranteeing security, the rule of law, and can design and implement effective structures to ensure inclusive socio-economic and political growth.
