I am a Public Health graduate from University of Malawi. since 2001 I have been involved and always in contact with the young people. I have been involved in facilitation of trainings about HIV/AIDS, STIs, sexuality, early pregnancy, family planning, gender, and human rights. I also provide counseling to victimized girls and young women. I have a great passion for the youth especially girls because these are hard hit by the pandemic and I view young people as agent of social change.
I am a founder of Girls Empowerment Network which is a young women led organisation dealing with issues affecting girls and young women in Malawi. Our primary focus is HIV/Aids prevention by empowering disadvantaged girls and young women.
I enjoy working with young people because they are the ones that determine our destiny. For any nation to develop it all depends on how the young people are empowered and involved at all levels.
