About me
I was born in Maldonado, Uruguay. Since I was a kid I was interested in social activities such as Interact(a program of Rotary International). In 2002 I developed a project in Cebollatí (small rural town) that managed to equip the local high school with a new computer and a library, letting all these people have access to knowledge. In those days, the only public computer was the high school computer that we provided in Cebollatí. In 2002 I also beacame Rotaract District Representative. Rotaract is a program of Rotary International that promotes leadership through service. In 2002 I received the Youthactionnet Award, for the project Cebollatí.The YAN Award is supported by the International Youth Foundation. In 2003 I traveled to Baltimore for the YAN meeting and I met people from Argentina which were developing a project called Ágora. Ágora is a political simulation where young people learn about politics. I was thrilled by adapting this idea to Uruguay and my team and I have started this program now.
In 2005 I joined the Millenium Campaign as Latinamerican Youth Editor, working with Takingitglobal.org. As Latinamerican Youth Editor I write articles about the Campaign, I raise awarness about MDG´s and basically I promote them everywhere I can!
