My name is Eszter and I am from Hungary. My Hobbies :Reading. learning languages, doing yoga, making excursions, travelling, playing badminton,
I have a BA degree in Teaching English Language and Literature and in Librarianship. I don't know what else to write here at the moment, so I list books I've read :
Hungarian :
Works of great Hungarians like Sandor Marai, Geza Gardonyi, Mor Jokai, Kalman Mikszath, Istvan Fekete, Sandor Petofi, Janos Arany, Magda Szabo ( the list is not complete) and Hungarian folk tales. Some of you asked about Hungarian literature so I wish to comprise a list of Hungarian books I read, but first have to see whether they have been translated into English or German and their official foreign title.
Hungarian novels:
Géza Gárdonyi : The Prisoners of God
Géza Gárdonyi : The Novel of Ida
Ferenc Móra : The Treasure-Hunting Smock
Ferenc Móra : Song of the Wheatfields

Hungarian poems/narrative poems:
Sandor Petőfi: The Apostole - a narrative poem
International
( books of all kinds)
The larger part of the book list have been sucessfully moved under the 'Reading List' heading of my profile, while some had to stay here.
Ernest Hemingway: The Indian Camp
Jack London : The Mexican
Some of Shakespeare's works
Alfred Amenda : Eroica ( Beethoven's life )
Maugham's different short stories
Vicky Bennett : Life Smart
Gabriele Hoffmann : Versunkene Welten ( Sunken Worlds) a book about underwater archeology
Fay Weldon: Weekend
F. Marion Crawford: Arethusa
János Kovács/ Péter Lázár A./ Marion Merrick : A-Z Angol Nyelvtan
I liked most of the books I read and learnt from them many things I think.
