About TSCP: TSCP is a locally based charitable organization registered in Kenya in the year 2003. TSCP was created in attention to critical need for values and life skills development among Kenyan youths in area of addressing their vulnerability to illiteracy, poverty and HIV/aids. TSCP promotes career development, youth education and poverty eradication by initiating sustainable projects among the youth and affected communities. Our Mission: TSCP enriches the youth and children by awareness, education, and vocational training to the benefit of the community. Our dream: * A world without poverty * youths and children with education and essential life skills * A world with essential & basic services and high living standards to everyone. Objectives: *advocate for policies that address the needs of the youth and especially in areas of reproductive health and relationships *involve the youth in civic participation/engagement and decisions that affect their lives *promote personal development in the youth through education and vocational training. * inspire youths to get involved with community work through volunteer work and initiatives that promotes their leadership qualities. *involve the youth in building for the low-income earners, through volunteer work *organize workshops and seminars on project development, services provision, advocacy, and diseases awareness and management especially HIV/aids for the youth and other local people. *mobilize local people & groups to increase the level of care of vulnerable groups and those affected with AIDS particularly the orphaned children. *recognize the power of youth to be effective leaders and contributors within their communities. TSCP is working in partnership/a partner to AYF (AFRICAN YOUTH FOUNDATION) based in Germany in areas of: 1.community development through volunteering and education exchange. 2.capacity building of communities on the application and opportunities of ICT for development through volunteering of students, groups & NGOs partners. 3.scholarship provision support for Up to 3years formal Graduate level study through (PEF)Progressive Education Fund. Program activities: i. Training-workshops and seminars to the youth, basic education & vocational training ii.research and impact evaluation iii.provision of food, shelter & clothing to the deserving youth and children. iii.health awareness, especially youth reproductive health and HIV/aids. TSCP: YOUTH DEVELOPMENT & ENGAGEMENT Youths are very important in every level of society and when you do not provide them with right opportunities they end up in unemployment, drug or alcohol problems, commit crimes, and become as a liability on community resources. Tscp tries to identify right opportunities for the youth, and involves them in various community based development activities.
