Ebby has participated in several conferences within and without Kenya. Such includes, Youth Leaders Capacity Building Workshop on True Love Waits - Baptist AIDS Response Agency (BAR) (2002), Managing Disaster Recovery Projects - Center for Finance & Projects Management Nairobi (October 2006), Pan African Health Congress - Ghallagher Estates South Africa (May - June 2007), Business to Business Conference, Sandton City South Africa (September 2007, The East African Project Management Conference - Sarova White Sands Mombasa (June 2008), Child Centred Community Development Training, SAO Philippines Manila (August 2008). Ebby's greatest experience has been with child - youth development. She has worked with Share An Opportunity (SAO)Kenya for more than twelve years in different ranks starting from Office Secretary, Admin Assistant, Child sponsorship Officer to Current position as a Youth Development Officer. Ebby's core responsibilities with the youth work has been and not limited to; Advocacy and awareness, networking, planning, Developing,report writing, research, training, designing, monitoring and evaluating youth projects. Ebby has been able to facilitate development of Integrated Youth Development Programme Trainning modules in the following areas: Entreprenuership and econmic empowerment, Project Management Skills, Human and Citizenry Rights, Career guidance, Family Life Education, Drug and Substance Abuse, Youth and HIV/AIDS, Peer Counseling, and Environmental Issues. While working for SAO Kenya, Ebby has been able to plan for meetings, seminars, and facilited formation of youth groups and clubs. In October 2008, She organized a successful Malaria Campaign and awareness in Mukuru Kwa Reuben slums in Nairobi which was aired on Kenya Broadcasting Cooperation and K24 TV stations. Ebby's broad objective is to maximize her skills and knowledge in development while at the sametime enhance good working relationships amongst all stakeholders. So far, Ebby has achieved the following, networked youth groups with other Partners, has been able to facilitate child protection committee formation in Ten programme areas, has taken SAO Kenya to greater heights through media. Ebby believes, "helping a poor man is training him to fish rather than give him fish". Lets help young people to know how to catch fish than fish for them!!! She desires to see a world free from corruption, where youth are involved in decision making, and are free to express themselves. Lastly, Ebby's pride lies in a fully developed poor child who enjoys all their rights in the community free from oppression.
