 About Me |
I'm a medical student from London. For a year from October 2003, I am working in Geneva as President of the International Federation of Medical Students' Associations.
My interest is in empowering young people to enable them to use their skills and their voice to advocate for change.
My vision is a world in which international, national and local structures ensure that basic preventive and curative healthcare is available to everyone.
I recognise that health is not just a matter of medicine - it's about freedom from discrimination, poverty, war and all the other big factors that determine peoples' health.
Young people, particularly future health care professionals and future leaders, need to know this and to be empowered to act on this perspective.
