About me
Learn something from every individual you
meet. This is the motto that Emanuel Gävert lives by.
His philosophy is that leadership is not a position, but
rather it is action and the attitude one embraces when
leading yourselves and others. By living according to this
motto and philosophy, Emanuel has reached great
results within his area of activity.
Every since an early age, sport has been something that has played an important role to Emanuel.
Being a dedicated football player for over 15 years taught him the power of what a well functioning team could achieve. As
team captain for a number of football and ice hockey teams for over 10 years, gave Emanuel an early taste of one of
his great passion in life, leadership. By tying a group of people to the same vision, making each individual understand that
the team will never be greater than its weakest link and ensuring that everyone appreciates their own unique contribution to
the final objectives has enabled Emanuel to lead his teams to great success.
Driven by his drive to learn from diverse experiences and at the age of only 23, Emanuel has already gained experience
from a number of different companies. The most impactful experience has come from the entrepreneurial company Spinbox
AB. From the start, Emanuel had extensive responsibilities for larger clients as well as being part of driving strategic
change within the company. In combination with a trip to Central America, the experience at Spinbox AB was what
influenced Emanuel’s choice of education.
Through his business studies, Emanuel got in touch with the global youth driven leadership development organization,
AIESEC. Leadership being his passion, Emanuel was quickly elected as president for AIESEC Stockholm University’s, SU
local chapter. During his year as president, the local chapter experienced enormous growth within all areas of activity, e.g. 10
times growth in realized exchanges. During Emanuel’s one year presidency, the local chapter also managed to expand to a
new university (The Royal Institute of Technology, KTH) through a partnership worth 20 000 Euros. In addition to the new
partnership, the local partner Handelsbanken increased their financial support by 33 percent. The grand final of Emanuel’s
year as president for the SU chapter was the national award ceremony, where SU received five out of eight national
awards, including the most prestigious of them: “Best Local Chapter”.
Inspired by the fact that Emanuel’s individual goals were aligned with AIESEC’s organizational goals, Emanuel moved on to
a new role within AIESEC. As Vice President, responsible for External Relations (ER) and Finances for AIESEC Sweden,
Emanuel has, so far, led a successful term. Coach to one on the weakest performing local chapter in AIESEC Sweden, this
chapter has now gone to be being one of the best performing local chapters in the country as well as for the first time in
three years, fulfilling AIESEC’s membership criteria. Emanuel has re-signed all current national partnerships of AIESEC
Sweden, as well as added three new partnerships. Together with help from AIESEC in Denmark, a long term financial
sustainability plan has been implemented. According to the plan, a national fund has been established, together with a
strategic partnership signed with Exact Software. Through establishing and coaching the local ER team, Emanuel has
experienced vital external involvement in regards to issue-based-experiences that take place within the local chapters.

Being a part of the Activating WENA Support team as ER coordinator, Emanuel has worked with product development for
national as well as local chapters. Emanuel is also leading the input paper that promotes the extension of the WENA board
with an ER coordinator.
As a person Emanuel is inquisitive and a curious individual that always seeks to find the best in people. He leads his
teams by leveraging the strengths of its members, as opposed by taking a commandeering role. This philosophy is
something that Emanuel will continue to follow, while searching for the elusive passion in his life.
