Odewale is male, Nigerian and holds a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree in Chemistry (with Polymer Science) from the Federal University of Technology, Minna, Niger State. He also holds a National Diploma degree in Chemical Engineering Technology from the Federal Polytechnic, Bida in same state in the north central region of Nigeria. Born, some 28 years ago in Lagos Island, Lagos, South West of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, he also holds professional training certificates in community local participation from UNICEF, international elections observation missions from WACSOF, mentoring young leaders under the Kwame Nkrumah emerging leaders training series, the African Contingency Operations and Training Assistance (ACOTA) under the ECOWAS Commission among others. This young chemist has garnered a combination local and international work experiences in social and development work, spanning especially the West Africa sub-region. He has worked variously with regional institutions like the West African Civil Society Forum (WACSOF), the Economic Community of West African States and recently, the West African Bar Association as Programme Officer (Youth), Consultant (Youth and Students’ Affairs) and Integration and External Linkages Officer respectively. His research experiences, spanning the academic and development sectors, cover both the natural and social sciences. He has four years of field experiences in Elections Observations and Monitoring in twelve member states of ECOWAS, UNOWA youth employment mapping in West Africa and inclusion of young people in processes for attainment of the MDGs under the United Nations Millennium Campaign (UNMC) African office situated in Nairobi, Kenya. Through his work, he has traveled and participated in a number of local and international conferences across the globe. He has been around Africa and is well known, especially among his peers. In addition to the foregoing, he has had volunteer, internship and extra-curricula experiences in campaign, mobilization and civic education working with the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) and the West African Students’ Union (WASU). Odewale is also a former Director of Training and Protocol to the Junior Chambers International (JCI), an international collegiate youth growth club also known as Jaycees. Egghead has undergone and facilitated a number of training exercises both within and outside Nigeria. His training experience covers the media, education, youth employment and empowerment, MDGs, youth leadership and governance. He has recently been admitted for the 2nd time running as a candidate at the International Leadership Training Seminar (ILTS) of the Danish Association for International Co-operation in Kalø, Denmark. Odewale who prides himself as a pan-Africanist has an excellent understanding of English, French and Yoruba languages. He also has a working knowledge of Arabic, Hausa, Portuguese and Spanish.
